How should I prepare for my massage?
For the best experience, come clean, free of jewelry (if possible), and move all ponytails and buns to the top of the head (in order to better access your neck). Be sure to also fill out the intake form, which will be sent to your email upon scheduling.
What does a typical session look like?
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and led to the back. After being shown the location of the bathroom, you’ll be left to undress and get under the covers.
When you hear a knock, you can confirm you’re ready for your session, or say you need more time. If you’re ready, I’ll enter, dim the lights, and the session will begin. When it ends, we do the same thing in reverse. At the end of the session, you’ll receive a bottle of water.
Should I come if I’ve been recently sick or injured?
If you have been recently injured (i.e. car accident, fall, etc.), it’s best to consult your doctor before returning to massage therapy.
If you are currently unwell, it’s best to avoid receiving a massage until you have recovered, as it can worsen your illness.
Should I come if I’m pregnant?
If you are pregnant, or suspect that you are, be sure to inform your therapist beforehand.
Where can I park?
There is on-street parking located in front of the building for free. Parking is available on either side of the street.
How do I get there?
The room is located on Baronne Street, between Constantinople and General Taylor. For best results, come down St. Charles and turn right onto either Amelia St. or General Taylor.
Drive until you hit Baronne, turn left, and keep straight until you see Sol Cura, a mint-colored building. Landmarks include Martin Wine Cellar, A.L. Lowe Custom Framing, and Lucy Boone Ice Cream.
Is the building ADA accessible?
The building is all one story. There’s a bathroom large enough to accommodate a wheelchair or other mobility aid, although the hallway leading up to the bathroom is a bit narrow. Ramps are on either side of the sidewalk to get to the building, as the block is raised.
Because the room the session will take place in is small, be sure to alert your therapist ahead of time for any accommodations so there’s time to prepare.
Are you offering Ashiatsu?
While it’s possible I may offer Ashiatsu again in the future, it isn’t available at this time.
What if I can’t make it to my session?
If you’re unable to make it to your appointment, it’s not a problem. You can reschedule to the next available slot of your choosing at no charge.
If you need to cancel your appointment outright, you can cancel it up to six hours before your appointment with no penalization. Cancellations less than six hours will incur a small fee ($10 for 60 minutes, $15 for 90 minutes, and $20 for two hours).
How can I pay?
Most forms of contactless payment are accepted: digital wallets (Google Wallet, Apple Pay), as well as Venmo and Zelle. Cash is also accepted, although try to come with the exact amount, as I may not be able to make change.
Payments will be processed through Square. You won’t be charged taxes or a transaction fee, so the prices on the listings are the final prices.
What if you’re fully booked?
If there are no available slots that work for your schedule, contact me, as we may be able to work out an alternative time. You can also reach out to me if you would like to be added to a waitlist.
What if I can’t get to you?
Not to worry; I can bring the massage to you. I’m available to come to your home, hotel, or place of employment (if allowed). Please be sure to contact me ahead of time if you’d like to arrange an appointment of this nature.
